U.S. Veteran

Lakeland-monroe M. Thompson- age 89, passed away Sunday October 14, 2012 at L.R.M.C. of heart failure. Monroe was born in Willow Oak, Fl. on January 2, 1923 to Will & Annie (Lane) Thompson. Monroe lived in the Medulla area all his life. He worked for I.M.C. as a mining superintendent. Monroe was a verteran of the U.S. Army (W.W.II) and a member of Willow Oak Assembly of God. Monroe is preceded in death by his daughter Winnie Simons. He is survived by his wife of 70 years Eva Albritton Thompson, daughters Sherry (Joe) Rogers, Shirley (Danny) Goheen, three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Visitation will be Willow Oak Assembly of God Thursady October 18, 2012 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. Services will follow at 11:00 A.M. Condolences may be sent to the family@seiglerfuneralhome.net. Arrangements entrusted to Seigler Funeral Home-Mulberry, Fl.
